We know that you will come to love our city just as much as we do; stay tuned for future posts!
As the newest employee of this growing family business, I have had the distinct pleasure of staying at, and getting to know more intimately, some of our vacation rentals and will be periodically sharing my impressions and adventures from these stays (a day, or stay, in the life of series). To kick things off, I’d like to share some photographs and details about my stay at Nancy’s Riviera Villas condo.
We have multiple 1 bedrooms, one 2 bedroom, and 2 three bedrooms, at Riviera Villas Condos and while I have toured them all, Nancy’s vacation rental was my first stay in this lovely building! A friend stopped by and joined me for some fun on the bay and we had a wonderful mini Staycation (we’re both San Diego locals). My first impression upon entering the unit was, “wow, look at that tremendous view!!”. I had heard from Nancy, Jeremy, Staci, and multiple guests about the stunning views at these properties but words just did not do it justice! The wall of windows that face Sail Bay (and can be opened up almost the entire length to let the cool Ocean breeze in) provide a 180 degree unobstructed view of Sail Bay. As beautiful as this condo was on the inside, the view caused an immediate need to grab the beach cruisers from the garage and head out onto the Sail bay boardwalk to enjoy the sun! It only took us about 10 to 15 minutes or so, at a rather leisurely pace, to bike our way over to Mission Blvd. and historic Belmont Park. We locked our bikes up and enjoyed some scrumptious lunch on the rooftop patio at Soundwave Restaurant, a great place to people watch all of the fun, surf, and sun happening on Mission Beach! Having been advised by Nancy to be sure to be at the condo by sunset, we headed back at the appropriate time and kicked our feet up in the living-room to watch the view change; we were certainly not disappointed! I suppose it had been awhile since I sat and watched the sun go down somewhere with as wonderful of a view as this, so I snapped a plethora of pictures to capture the moment. The colors constantly changed as you can see in these two photographs:

It was definitely a breathtaking sight to behold! After enjoying the lovely Sail Bay sunset, my friend and I decided to cook up some steaks on the George Foreman Grill (it can fit up to 4 large steaks quite nicely!) and then we dined and listened to some music on the Ipod Docking station and gabbed the night away.
The next morning, I peeked my head down the hallway (the bed in the Master bedroom is divinely comfortable!) and enjoyed the morning view all over again.
Much to my delight and surprise, there was a lone man playing the guitar on the beach, which we listened to and enjoyed on the patio over morning coffee. Some paddle boarders enjoyed his serenade as well! After this, we walked into Pacific Beach and enjoyed some delicious breakfast at The Broken Yolk (many Pacific Beach residents favorite breakfast restaurant, and you may recognize it from an episode on Travel Channel’s Man Vs. Food!). We then headed back to the condo, packed up our belongings, and left this beautiful vacation rental behind. It was a wonderful Staycation and over-all, I would recommend this vacation rental for romantic getaways, friends just looking for a getaway and a beautiful property with close proximity to Mission and Pacific Beach, as well as an excellent option for families as Fanuel Park is only a short walk away from the property. I simply cannot wait for a return visit! 🙂
